require to work occasionally weekends and/or nights, when needed -
- -Primary Purpose:Responsible for the daily management of assigned
unit to include staff supervision and development, planning,
budget, quality, and facility operations and coordinating patient
services to ensure high quality patient care and optimal
outcomes.

Job Summary:
Minimum Requirements:
- BSN or MSN Degree from an accredited Professional School of Nursing.
- Four (4) years of current registered nurse experience in an Emergency Department in a hospital environment, within the last 4-5 years (LVN/Clinicals/Internships/Floating will not substitute this requirement).
- Two (2) years leadership/management experience -in a hospital
environment. -
Certification/Registration/Licensure:*Please note, -certification(s) must clearly indicate the expiration date and are valid for at least 30 days beyond the start date.
-- Current/Valid State of TX RN license or temporary RN license;
or valid Compact RN license without any stipulations and in good
standing.
- Current/Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider
completion card -at the time of hire, and the ability to maintain
thereafter from one of the following: American Heart Association
American Red Cross Military Training Network.
- Current/Valid Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS) certification card -at the time of hire, and
the ability to maintain thereafter from one of the following:
American Heart Association American Red Cross Military Training
Network.
- Current/Valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification card, -at
the time of hire, and the ability to maintain thereafter.
- Current/Valid Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) certification card within 90 days from date of hire, and the ability to maintain thereafter. -
- Current/Valid SAMA certification, levels 1-2 within 30 days
from date of hire or placement in the role. - -Preferred
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a teaching hospital or academic medical center.
- Experience with nurse residency or preceptorship programs.
