Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a strong
background in foundry operations to join our dynamic manufacturing
team. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise
to enhance our manufacturing processes, work with EH&S of key
projects to enhance safety and environmental controls, improve
product quality and drive innovation in our foundry operations. Key
Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical systems and
components for foundry processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence
to quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams,
including production, quality assurance, and R&D, to optimize
foundry operations. Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting
for existing foundry equipment and processes. Implement and oversee
process improvements, including material selection, casting
techniques, and mold design. Prepare and review technical
documentation, including specifications, reports, and project
plans. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations,
including safety and environmental considerations. Conduct tests
and simulations to validate designs and improve manufacturing
processes. Provide technical support and training to foundry staff
on equipment operation and maintenance. Key lead on design and
implementation of structural and facility upgrades and equipment
installations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical
engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in
mechanical engineering, with a focus on foundry or manufacturing
operations. Strong knowledge of casting processes (sand casting,
investment casting, etc.) and foundry equipment. Proficient in CAD
software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis
tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate
effectively with team members and stakeholders. Familiarity with
lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
methodologies is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree
in mechanical engineering or related field. Certification as a
Professional Engineer (PE). Experience with quality control systems
and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma). What We Offer: Competitive
